"The Compass" is an abstract exploration of direction and guidance, blending vibrant colors and dynamic forms to evoke a sense of movement and purpose. In this piece, I used bold, intersecting lines and layered shapes to symbolize the interconnected paths we navigate in life. The central circular forms suggest the mechanism of a compass, while the sweeping arcs and fragmented spaces represent the chaos and harmony that guide our choices and journeys.
The interplay of rich reds, blues, and yellows with softer earthy tones reflects the emotional and intuitive elements that influence our decisions, inviting the viewer to reflect on their own internal compass. The layered textures and expressive strokes create a dynamic balance, embodying the tension between control and surrender in the search for direction. This piece serves as a metaphorical map of life, celebrating both the clarity and uncertainty of finding one’s way.
